RE:”Conservatives don't foresee challenge to John Boehner’s speakership”

I started pointing this out in late 2012 with my challenge to freepers then to tell their favorite house conservative to run against Boehner, then pointing out how none of them (like Lou Gomert) want near his job.

They got it too easy, let Boehner shovel the crap (and much of it is crap) while they make their purely symbolic no votes pleasing their near all white congressional districts.

I’m sure this thread is filled with whining comments that are detached from political reality.

As I said in July

“Unless he chokes to death on one of his cigarettes, there is roughly a zero % chance that anyone other than Boehner will be Speaker next year. Rat chances for majority are nihilistic. The most realistic scenario for a Boehner resignation would be a 1998 scenario, where the GOP surprisingly lost seats, that is not something any rational person hopes for. This fixation with removing the GOP leadership is not productive, the next leaders will compromise and lose popularity here as well, McConnell was very well liked here at one time. The leadership reflects the conference, the best thing to make the leadership compromise less is to elect as many Republicans as possible. The smaller the majority, the worse it is.”
