I wore an army field jacket to school for years back in the day. Fatigue shirts were popular with guys and girls. The Eisenhower jacket was popular as well.

I weep for this stupid, feminized nation and I despise the ‘zombies’ who initiate and participate in the ‘lockdown’ as if it actually mattered.

Wore a M65 Field Coat all thru High school. Loved it because it had pockets that acted like a mobile Locker.
Cant find good M65s anymore....its a shame.

Yep. Class of ‘82 here. At our high school, the fashion was to wear jackets we bought at the Army-Navy store. That might make some veterans here cringe, but we wore coats from the Army-Navy store - even the girls did (of which I am one).

And camo / fatigues have been in style for the past 15 years or so.

And I wonder how many of us homeschoolers have noticed homeschooled students wearing “gun vests” to co-op class.

OTOH, considering the school shootings over the past 15-20 years, I can understand why school employees overreact these days.
