It’s not just Minneapolis that has recently seen its numbers of Somalian muslims swell in recent years. Other outstate cities in Minnesota have rapidly changed demographically. Our city is now about 20% Somalian. That is a huge and fast jump in less than 10 years. We are ever so tolerant, kind and giving that absolutely zero assimilation is required. It will eventually cause problems rather than just annoyances (driving in town can be so frustrating!) and I have faced a couple of incidents that were clearly bullying/intimidation from muslim men, yet didn’t go far enough to be criminal.
