Agreed. Glasgow will be telling. I am not interested (I have no stake, I’ve been following for a year) but now thAt it’s over I hope they stay with the UK.

Stability has a value. Size has a value. 307 years together have done a lot of good for Scots and English (and Welsh). North Sea Oil is a means, and not an end. The UK was so worried, that they promised a greater autonomy for Scotland. They will have to work out the tax angle.

I still feel like a NO vote, meaning 90% of Scottish resident vote, and a majority vote to continue the 307 years of economic and social progress they have had so far, that’s a win for UK. It also gives the US UK Canadian Austailian friendship a nice bit of stability.

If Scotland goes the other way, I think they will have a thought time, but I wish them well. I personally have had some good times in Edinburgh. Our country need friends, and I would want the Scots as friends.
