Rove: GOP Establishment Can’t Win Senate Alone (ya think??)
dailycaller.com ^ | 9/18/14 | Neil Munro

GOP strategist Karl Rove says the GOP could lose the Senate majority unless the party’s base of supporters volunteer more time and cash to the establishment’s preferred candidates.

The GOP will win a Senate majority “only… if Republicans open their wallets to candidates whom they may have never met, and… clear their calendars to volunteer to identify and get out the vote,” Rove wrote in Wall Street Journal op-ed.

The GOP needs the base’s support even though the public is rejecting Democratic politicians, said Rove, who was nicknamed “the architect” when he helped President George W. Bush win the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections.

“The president’s job approval numbers are lousy, no Democrat in a competitive Senate race polls regularly above 50%… independents are trending Republican [and] the midterm environment is terrible for Democrats,” he wrote. ”Yet each passing day provides evidence [that] a GOP Senate majority is still in doubt,” because Democrats have more cash than Republicans.

“It is unfortunate that the ‘architect’ fails to see that the thing holding back the GOP is not money, but its failure to connect with the working class even as the Democrats destroy it” with poverty-boosting policies, responded one caustic Hill aide.

Less than 7 weeks to the election, and where is the national GOP message to the voters?

What is the plan?

Why should anyone vote for the GOP candidates?

Can the GOP-e be any more deaf, dumb and blind?

Where is pounding against Harry Reid, Obozo and other Dem candidates for the outrageous things they say and do?

My prediction: they get four of the seven winnable Senate seats, and barely hold onto the House.

On Nov. 5th, we awake to find we missed the last opportunity to reign in King Obola.

I hope to God I am wrong.

And in closing, let me just say:FUKR.

I think that scenario is very possible on the federal level. I think on the state and local level it will be far different, as it was in 2010 when we took 700 legislative seats, 19 legislative chambers and 10 governorships. The Establishment has expended ALL it’s time and money on protecting the US Senate (with some in House primaries). The down ballot races should prove interesting, at least that’s my hope.

If Rove is serious about bringing conservatives back into the fold, he should go away, maybe go volunteer in an Ebola infested country, or go enjoy the culture of Mexico, anything but hang around the Republican Party.

So let's see...they attack the conservative base, call them names, marginalize them, fight them at the ballot box, lie about them, cheat them with Dem tactics, etc.

Wow, they might as well give us a left cross ala Ray Rice.

But we're now supposed to run back into their arms and say, “but I love them” like so many battered women.

Sorry Rove, I like the NFL approach: your suspended indefinitely.

3-4 seats are all they’ll pick up. They don’t want to win.

I despised the Roves and Boehners BEFORE Chris McDaniel had his nomination stolen. Now, I couldn’t care less about whether the GOP-e takes control of the Senate or not. They are swines. Bob

I`ll say it all when as a resident of District 14, in Ohio, I either vote for Dave Macko, http://www.mackoforliberty.org the Libertarian candidate, or abstain from voting all together.

Pound sand Rove.

Go pander to your sugar daddies at the Chamber of Crony Communism.

You and your pal Mitch McConnell declared war on the very base you are attempting to ‘scare’ into voting for you turds.

We’re done. Enjoy permanent minority status - which I think is what you actually wanted all along anyway.

It’s amazing that they are so caught up in the “game” of politics, up there in that rarified air, that they really don’t understand that we (conservatives) are serious, that we mean business, that this is not a game to us, it’s our lives and our freedom, and we won’t play nice after they cheat to win.
