America’s immigration system is a “mess” and reforming it would help the economy, House Speaker John Boehner said Thursday.
Speaking at the American Enterprise Institute about “resetting America’s economic foundation” Boehner addressed immigration reform when asked by a member of the audience.
“Yeah, I think immigration reform would help our economy, but you’ve got to secure the borders first — we’ve got a mess and I think everybody knows we’ve got a mess. Our legal system is broken, our borders aren’t secure. And then we’ve got the problem of those that are here without documents,” Boehner said.
“It needs to be fixed,” he continued. “We’re a nation of immigrants. The sooner we do it the better off the country would be.”

If elected I promise to make my own citizens the focus of my policies.
The United States will always come first in my endeavors. Other nations will find me with my hand out in cooperation as long as we both do not ask the other to betray the nations we represent.
I will also do my best to make sure patriots of other nations are returned to be governed by those who were elected to do so.
If those people find this disheartening, I encourage them to demand political reform in their legitimate homeland.
As much as possible, I will lend my support to these efforts, as long as they remain legal and the best for their nation as well as our own.

I am the Chairman of a Republican County Committee in Virginia.
All our members are good, intelligent and energetic people. They recognize that amnesty is suicide for the country.
And yet, most of our leaders in Congress promote amnesty, and in doing so, antagonize the base and lose elections.

How in the hell is immigration reform/amnesty going to help our economy? Those people aren’t coming here to work. They’re coming here for the freebies: health care, voting, health care, free housing, food stamps, voting, free auto and insurance, voting..... In short - sitting on their butts and watching OUR money roll in.

You flood the labor pool with millions that will work for next to nothing while sucking of the social services, you also get millions of voters that will accept Socialism because they are used to it
