Poll: Republican Beauprez Boasts 10-Point Lead Over CO Democratic Gov. Hickenlooper

Republican frontrunner Bob Beauprez is gaining unexpected ground in Colorado’s gubernatorial race, according to the latest Quinnipiac University poll. The former U.S. Rep. holds a double-digit lead over Democratic incumbent Gov. John Hickenlooper.

Additionally Beauprez slid into the lead among one key demographic: women. According to Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University poll:

"Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper is behind the challenger on the key qualities voters want in a leader: honesty, caring and leadership.

"Pundits were predicting that Gov. Hickenlooper faced a close race for reelection. Instead, he's got a mad dash to make up a double-digit deficit. The Democrat does not get the traditional strong support from women to offset Bob Beauprez's army of support from men."

Hickenlooper has raised almost four times the amount of his opponent, according to a recent Associated Press article. While the governor has accumulated around $4.2 million, Beauprez stands at $1 million.

"We are not going to let this or any other poll distract us from getting the job done and giving Colorado the leadership it deserves," Beauprez said in a press release Wednesday, "We are going to run like we're behind."

I don’t know anything about Beauprez, but Hickenlooper is an absolute jerk of the first water. Sometimes the voters manage to figure that out. Let’s hope they do in this case.

Chickenpooper is bought and payed for by Soros and Bloomberg. This year Chris Christy funded an attack ad against Tom Tancredo causing him to lose the primary. The republicans owe the voters of Colorado an apology for the dirty tricks.

Damned women again! Just look at the polling data. If it weren’t for the female vote, Beauprez would be up by 20%. They behave like Blacks!

Expect to see more pushing for “women as victims” over the next two years. They are Hitlery’s ace in the hole.

I would love to see Hickenlooper lose just because he's such a spineless little weasel. He came out strongly for gun control when it was “popular” (or at least the press convinced him it was after Newtown). Then as soon those democrat state senators got clobbered because of it, he claimed he never really supported it anyway. He's the worst type of politician, the kind that decides their “firm moral convictions” every morning by sticking his finger in the air and seeing which way the political winds are blowing

I don’t get it. Hickenlooper has been pushing massive Gun Control for Colorado, and he’s still losing!

What’s up with that?!?

If Hick goes down, it’ll be the first time in 52 years a sitting Colorado governor is thrown out of office.

You are right about that.

Btw, how the hell is this such a big lead now, when all I was hearing was how close it was.

Also, can someone explain how every poll showed Udall crushing his Republican opponent until today and yesterday, where he is losing by 2 and 8 points?

Are you a woman hater?

Do you hate your mother too?

“Are you a woman hater?
Do you hate your mother too?”

I have no idea what your comments have to do with mine.
FWIW, I have been happily married to the same woman for almost 48 years, I have two daughters and one grand daughter all of whom I love dearly. My mother lived to age 93 and I cared for her from the time of my father's death when she was in her early 60’s.
Not one of them would have a child out of wedlock, have an abortion, or vote for a RAT. The fact is though that women in general vote in substantially greater percentages for RATS, and I just wonder why. The only plausible reason is that a lot of them are single mothers who want (and generally need) government assistance. Further, I find it an anathema that far too many see abortion as a convenient means of birth control. I will also say that today's men are probably to some degree responsible for the current situation, but that does not absolve women of their responsibility not to bring endless new lives into this world with the expectation that society will provide for both them and their offspring.
If you have any thoughts on the situation, I am all ears.

I do know that I participated in a poll on Tuesday night that was heavily focused on the upcoming Colorado elections. Because of the length of the poll and the detailed nature, I’m guessing it was from one of the big national pollsters and not a candidate’s look-see poll.

I have been married to the same woman for 38yrs with a daughter and 2 granddaughters. I’m with you on this. It drives me crazy why women vote in this country the way they do.
