The problem is a source for the gas. Since they want to bring gas from a direction that isn’t supply or demand on the existing lines, they need new lines to connect to the existing.

To replace Putin’s supply of gas, they need a fleet of big LPG tankers that not exists. Ferrying gas from Qatar in the Persian Gulf through Suez Canal, the Mediterranean around Spain/Portugal/France/English Channel/North Sea through Danish waters to Poland seems very costly. More a total UTOPIA!!!

I said years ago that the western Euros accepting those Russian pipelines was a sucker play. Next you can expect a story about the Krauts reconsidering shutdown of their Nuke power plants. It’s one thing to get a good deal on a load of Russian fuel but it’s quite another to get married to Ivan andhope he will always be fair. As has been noted: Russia is a poorly run gas company trying to be a country.
