US President Barack Obama will personally sign off on any airstrike targeting Islamic State militants in Syria, Julian Barnes and Carol Lee of The Wall Street Journal report.
With the high level of personal control in Syria, "Obama can better ensure the operation remain focused on his main goal for that part of the campaign: weakening the militants' hold on territory in neighboring Iraq."
The U.S. has conducted 174 strikes in Iraq and is preparing Islamic State (aka ISIS) targets in Syria. Obama has sent hundreds of special operations advisors to Iraq to assist Iraqi Security Forces and Kurdish peshmerga while asking Congress to grant the authority to train and arm vetted factions of the Syrian opposition.
Officials told WSJ that the commander-in-chief "wants to make sure the military actions in Syria are more like the counterterrorism operations in Somalia or Yemen."

I guess if I need to check into a hospital to have brain surgery, I should first check to make sure that Barry hasn’t taken personal control of such surgeries. With Barry Boo-Boo in charge, the surgical outcome may not be good.

And the ‘terrorists’ he kills will never be shown, only discussed on the news. Which means that A: No muslim will die which is why he has to personally sign off on strikes or B: The ‘terrorists’ will actually be Christians, Jews or Kurds and the MSM and GOP will run interference for the lie as usual.

ISIS will have US POWs by the end of the month. They already hit an F15 over Iraq and forced it down in Turkey. They were using US weapons seized from the Iraqi military to do it.

I have said it before and will say it again. Iraq is no more Syria is no more.
There are new states being formed in the various actions under way.
Obama knows but will not acknowledge that fact. He can not ever admit Iraq was lost on his watch. The chattering naybobs can’t think beyond press releases to understand the reality.
He is not engaged in a war on ISIL beyond very limited actions to adjust the new borders.
To understand current events one must first understand that the status Quo ante will never resume.
