[Al Nusra] Syrian rebels seize UN weapons in the Golan: ambassador

Syrian rebels linked to Al-Qaeda have seized UN weapons, uniforms and vehicles from peacekeepers in the Golan and set up a "safe zone" to wage attacks, the Syrian ambassador said Tuesday.

The United Nations on Monday was forced to pull back hundreds of peacekeepers to the Israeli-occupied sector of the Golan after Syrian rebels advanced on their positions.

Syrian Ambassador Bashar Jaafari said fighters from Al-Nusra "had succeeded in occupying all of the Syrian side" of the Golan, driving out the troops from the UN Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF).

"The terrorists are now using United Nations cars, which hold the emblem of the United Nations forces in the Golan. They are using the uniform of the UNDOF, the weapons of UNDOF, the positions of UNDOR to shell on the Syrian army as well as on the civilians in villages," Jaafari told reporters.

The UN Security Council is due to discuss the crisis on the Golan during a session on Wednesday after more than 40 Fijian UNDOF troops were held hostage for two weeks by Al-Nusra.

Are these the good Syrian rebels or the bad Syrian rebels?

“Are these the good Syrian rebels or the bad Syrian rebels?”

The bad ones, Al Qaeda types. However, I’m not so very sure the good Syrian rebels are all that good. Worried about the Israeli/Syrian border now, though. Although I suspect if there is any attempted spillover into Israel, the Israeli’s will squash the rebels like bugs.

Isn’t it strange how Obama, and now the UN, seem to be putting weapons right where they can be grabbed by the bad guys.

Between the ME and the Ebola outbreak, what use is the UN?

No, it isn’t. The communists want what is it? 500,000 civilian population? Or is it 500,000,000? I forget.

Basically, to do that, first you have to get rid of anyone that could stop you. America. Europe has already fallen to the communists. America will fight, too many guns. There will always be resistance here. Always. Until they can take them. Everything they do to us ultimately leads to confiscation.

Being that the Obama admin and the UN are and always have been Muslim sympathizers, why would it be strange for these muslim groups to arm their fellows? Seems like the perfect way to kill Christians, Jews and westerners.

In all seriousness, until the world admits what the UN really is and what the Obama admin really is, AQ and co will do nothing but make progress at the cost of countless lives. The problem here is that people literally cannot handle the reality of the situation and so pretend that’s just crazy talk.

So there. Israel can try and make peace leaving the heights back to Assad or the UN, only to see a regime chanfe in Syria and get attacked from the Golan Heights again.

Same thing happened with Ukraine.

Like the ducks at the duck pond. Because they do not stop the big duck beating the other duck or taking the female, they make him their leader and follow him everywhere.

The UN always lets the terrorists harass Israel. The Swedes in South Lebanon consistently gave intel to Hezbollah to help destroy the SLA. By not intervening in PC manner, they essentialy make them their leaders.

The UN is clearing house for appeasement and the Chamberlains of the world.

It is the biggest political flattery trap scam ever, givig liberals their legitimacy as promoters of enemies through cowardice.

Obama's good Syrian rebels. They kill Jews and attack Bashir Assad so that all the Christians and other non-Muslims in Syria will be killed or driven out after Assad falls. It worked so well in Libya, Obama decided to try it again.

I guess the idiots in DC who want to ‘arm the moderate’ Syrian rebels have considered all these interchangeable, dynamic possibilities?

The UN is a complete and utter waste of time and OUR money. Who is the major financier of this group of non-effective wannabe world leaders? (Times up, its the US of course).

United Nations peacekeepers, “religion of peace” peaceniks, head-chopping “hijackers” of the “religion of peace”, brutal dictator Syrian government and Syrian rebels. Does anyone have a scorecard?

Who’s on 1st?

Undocumented MOslem Obama and RINO-traitor McCain
and slavers at the UN have CONTINUE to arm al Qaeda
(and give them uniforms).

The EXEMPT Congress could not care.

I also wonder how many of these air strikes are hitting actual targets.

Beyond that, the UN has once again proven what a totally ineffective organization it is. Unless, of course, you’re talking about condemning Israel—that is the one thing thy are good at.
