Republican senators to transfer $3 million to NRSC after appeal by McConnell

Senate Republicans on Tuesday agreed to transfer $3 million in personal campaign funds to the National Republican Senatorial Committee in their bid to capture the Senate majority this November, sources confirmed.

With control of the Senate on the line and Democrats and their allies pouring millions more into competitive contests than the Republicans and their supporters, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., made an impassioned plea to his conference during Tuesday’s weekly caucus lunch. Sources said McConnell, himself embroiled in a tough re-election contest, told members that they have a historic opportunity to govern and need to do their part.

Republicans need to flip six Democratic-held seats to win control of the Senate. Three of those seats appear to be in hand — Montana, South Dakota and West Virginia — but it remains to be seen if they can close the deal in three more, while holding all of their own, to capture the majority.

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has outraised the NRSC by nearly $30 million this election cycle, in part by collecting far more in personal campaign funds from Democratic senators than the GOP committee has taken in from Republican members. Senate Republicans have historically contributed little to the NRSC from their personal campaign accounts, especially compared to what Democrats give the DSCC.

The $3 million in member transfer commitments is equal to three times what Republican senators had contributed to the NRSC, collectively, as of June 30 and represent one of the committee’s best hauls in years from its own members. The Washington Examiner reported in August that of the $113 million sitting in Republican senators’ accounts at the end of June, they had transferred about 1 percent — $1.3 million — to the NRSC.

McConnell wanted to marginalize and defund the Senate Conservatives Fund and other "outside groups." Looks like the NRSC, which spent MILLIONS to defeat conservatives across the country, is what is being defunded...good!

This is why all these senators go to all these fundraisers, to build warchests that they can use and spread around later on. I hope all their coffers are drained dry!

Just remember to fund, personally, only the conservative members you truly support.

Republican Establishment candidates usually lose.

That will happen again in November because many conservatives cannot vote for RINO’s.

Yesterday, John Boehner called conservative Congressmen “knuckleheads.”

Well, John, the knuckleheads will pay you back in six weeks!

GOPe campaign consultants rub their hands with glee at another trove to be pocketed whilst selling the RINOs a pig in a poke.

The clueless GOP still doesn’t understand the root cause of its failures. Its a soulless party that stands for nothing.

The only thing the GOP is good at is snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Dems are self-destructing and the Pubbies should be cruising to a landslide win. But you’re right, they will find a way to lose in November. Its what they do, its who they are.

So how are those scorched earth tactics against Conservatives working out for you, Mitch? Is the TEA party crushed yet?

The "little people" aren't sending in their money.

I wonder why that is?

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has out raised the NRSC by nearly $30 million this election cycle...
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Have the RINOs, like Mitch McConnell, figured out that the reason the DSCC has out raised the RSCC by $30 million is because the Conservatives, they vowed to crush, said “Eff you” when we received a donation plea in the mail? Seriously, does anyone think the RINOs are getting the message?

Yep. contribute to your individual candidate's PAC and not the NRSC or any of their ilk.
