I’ll take my trained Malinois, backed up by a Glock .45, and an AKM with a light, Aimpoint, and 30 rounds over the liberal’s advice, and no, I won’t tell them where my valuables are, either.
I used to have an old Lab mix who I really liked. He was friendly and one time literally fought off a large American Bulldog.
He probably was not much of a guard dog tho. One day I got out of the house and took a small hike and he did not even know I was outside. On the way back I noticed him sleeping on the front door mat.
I walked up to him and he didn’t even wake up. I then poked him gently with my hiking pole. He just grunted and never woke up.
Some guard dog. Actually I suspect he would have sensed a stranger even in his sleep but still that did not give me a lot of confidence.
