IIRC the flu virus killed more soldiers in WWI than bullets and bombs.
A virus is an enemy with no allies.
Dropping US Soldiers into this environment is forcing them to go on a suicide mission with no chance of accomplishing anything.
These soldiers should refuse to go. This is not a military operation. It is a deadly social experiment.

Further decimate the armed forces
Cripple recruitment efforts
Spread Ebola throughout U.S.
Provide excuse (epidemic) for further government control
and
Eliminate elections “due to medical emergency”?
I’m assuming they’re all from the Chemical Corps or Medical Corps. (Chem Corps actually handles Nuclear, Biological, Chemical warfare safety). Anybody who has ever been fully suited up knows that a human can’t live that way 24/7.
