More of a ‘shuck and jive’ campaign. It may be the best they can do with the gutted military that Obama has ordained.

Exactly! He's putting on his best performance yet to try and appease the people sickened by the beheading of the US and British Citizens and his anti-Military low information voters.

If you are not going to get into it to win, just stay out, regardless of the consequences for non-intervention. Eventually the situation will get so threatening that the only option is to take up the fight when it is hopeless, but no alternatives exist.

Consider the situation for Great Britain in 1940. The evacuation of Allied soldiers from the beaches and harbor of Dunkirk, France, between 27 May and 4 June 1940 was one of the great routs of history, but also probably the most miraculous, considering the odds against them. Once back in England, Winston Churchill rallied the British to continue their nearly hopeless resistance to the advance of the Nazi war machine, promising them nothing but “blood, toil, sweat and tears”.
