In an interview with Breitbart Texas, Staysi Barth, organizer of “Shut Down All Ports of Entry”, said militia groups are not welcome at the national event planned for this weekend across the southern border of the United States. “Only peaceful protesters are coming,” Barth said.

After fighting with the problem of the open border for years and the negative impact she claimed illegal immigration is having on her home state of California, it was Mexico’s imprisonment of Marine Corps Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi that moved her to take this step of shutting down the international bridges. “Tahmooressi served our country and our leaders are just leaving him behind,” she said. “By blocking these bridges we can cause economic disruption that can force the government to take action.”

Her organization’s website boldly puts forward a travel advisory: “Please be aware that traveling across the US/Mexico border will be impeded, beginning on September 20, 2014, with no designated end date.”

Vigilantism is a natural result of government not enforcing laws.

There’s a job to be done. We hired people to do it but they refuse so we have to do it ourselves.

What really needs to be done, is to stop western union and banks from transferring money to Mecksicko. That is the only thing that will get the politicians attention. Mecksicko wants as many of their people here as possible because they get a double whammy, they get rid of their poor undesirable class, and that same group of people sends money back.

I agree, I’m surprised there has been so little violence against illegals. I’m not advocating it, but there has been a welcome mat for them to come in and take jobs, not pay taxes and to collect for their families from the welfare state. Plus $15K a to educate one of their kids.
How many taxes have to be collected from how many families to pay for just one of their kids in public schools?
If we went to their country, how would we be treated? Would their country throw money at us?

So I’m surprised there hasn’t been an explosion of violence due to the frustrations out there. We do have an invasion going on of sorts.

I’m glad there hasn’t been the violence out there that could have been happening, but at the same time I want illegals out and the border secure.

Vigilantism is a natural result of government not enforcing laws.

Just another result of Eric Holder's opinion when he told all the state AGs to enforce only the laws they feel like upholding.

Dang. Repercussions are a bitch.

“A well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a Free State ...”

Sounds pretty straightforward to me.

The Border Patrol Agents are doing the job. . .given the baby-sitting details they are on and the fact Zero is working against them.

They’re more concerned with American citizens than they are the violent cartel and illegals.

Not so.

I say this as a father whose son is a BP Agent that was injured on the job by cartel smugglers.

BP Agents despise the coyotes, cartels and rip crews. . .absolutely hate them. They almost hate them as much as they hate the Zero’s administration.

Tahmooressi deserves defending. I am embarrassed it has taken so long for American citizens to rally, raise hell and protest Mexico AND Obama.

The media is not billing this as having anything to do with Tahmooressi, but rather making militia action at bridges look like bafoonery and hostile to order. Is this the fault of the organizers not getting the word out, or the media for ignoring the Tahmooressi angle?

organizers might be generous description.

I see this more as many different groups acting independently and arriving in the same location.

Our federales—other than the Border Patrol—legislators and WH , really don’t have that much to do, but they manage to keep busy doing just about everything they shouldn’t be doing ...

US Constitution
Congress, Article One, Section 8
“To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions”
This pretty much speaks for itself.

Executive: “To ensure that the laws are faithfully executed.”
And he took an oath of office, twice, that he apparently hasn’t bothered to think about.

Each branch receives a failing grade, and considering all the like-minded Americans heading south, we’re aren’t the only ones seeing this failure of federal government to fulfill its duties.
If the states—AZ, New Mexico, TX—didn’t have the feds suing them in federal court (Ecce Homo) they could address the problems themselves. In this sense, the feds are worse than useless, e.g. they were sued by the Border Patrol.

The DHS. Yeah, “boots on the ground”. Social justice.
In San Ysidro. Brownsville. Tucson, El Paso, Maricopa ......
