Someone please advise me here.

If the cable company goes to ala carte pricing and a user does NOT want to pay to watch NFL and does NOT subscribe to that specific offering or anything that does carry those broadcasts...

Wouldn’t the cost of the other cable channels go down (drastically) and the overall bill also go down even more if one would not be subject to paying for foreign language channels, lib green channels, etc?

Also, would the other channels have to price their subscriptions according to how many people actually sign up for that channel?

It is tough to comment on the unknown but I think the cable companies would ultimately have the say in the matter. Would they offer ESPN for $5 a month and History for $1 and give the consumer the choice? Some of these channels are owned by the same company and my guess is they would have a large say in the matter, too.
