Get it or regret it! read the description for a vintage, one-of-a-kind Kent State sweatshirt that Urban Outfitters briefly offered for just $129. However, the fact that there was just one available for purchase is far from the most regrettable part of the item: the shirt was decorated with a blood spatter-like pattern, reminiscent of the 1970 Kent State Massacre.
The sweatshirt, reported by Buzzfeed after a screenshot made the rounds on Twitter, is now sold out, according to the site.
Heres what the listing looked like before:

What type of idiot pays $129 for an $18 sweatshirt?
If you want to make a political statement you can do so on CafePress.Com for a LOT less money.

I ruled UO out for my family years ago when they had an entire 3 shelf display devoted to items that mocked George and Laura Bush. There were a few Reagan and Cheney items too. When I complained to the manager he said, “that area of the store requires a sense of humor.”

Cool idea, and I would buy one for a lower price. Sad that the PC crowd (called Cultural Marxism back when the Russians were using language to force "correct" opinions on their populace) can cow Urban Outfitters so quickly. I'd look into buying more of their stuff if they stood strong here. There is NOTHING wrong with this clothing offering. Heck, it is a good reminder of history, it will stimulate a little bit of education, and it might even give a small bump to Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young's song "Ohio".
(I had ChickFilA every day last week in honor of their founder's stand against the Left, and his sad passing. Standing up to Leftist thuggery does get noticed and rewarded!)

This is becoming common. Massively offensive item is issued with sub-zero common sense, withdrawn amid mass publicity. It’s all about buzz.

I'd like to know.
I can get a sweatshirt for ~$35, and some red fabric dye, I could sell some knockoffs for way less than $129.

Then I assume they also mock Obama?
To: Phillyred
Uh...no. I actually asked if there were a section devoted to mocking Clinton, Kerry, Gore etc (this was pre BO) and they said there weren’t any items available.
