Carneybarker could just be covering his butt so that he doesn’t lose his high paid job for calling it way wrong, like Dick Morris.
I’m think that as well. Carney’s trying to establish cred, would only really feel the need to lie in a way that benefits Dems (loyally saying the Dems were going to win). There’s no good reason for him to lie by saying the Dems will get crushed ... It benefits no one.
Also, his comments need to be viewed in relation to the other desperation measures we’re now seeing from Carney’s fellow Democrats. It’s not his comments alone, but the general pattern with them and others.
