The most fundamental reason for civil disorder in 1967 was “the racial attitude and behavior of white Americans toward black Americans.”

When someone other than a leftist does this, it’s called “blaming the victim”.

"Keeping it Real" is the central problem. "Black Culture" At one time gave us Jazz and Rock and Blues. Today, it has descended largely into Victimtown. It has NOTHING to do with color…it has everything to do with broken culture.

If you glorify drugs, violence and disrespecting women, your culture is broken. If you reject your own people who work hard and achieve as being somehow “white”, your culture is broken. If your pastors spend more time preaching about evil white people and less time preaching about the Salvation of Jesus Christ (or about condemning bad behavior in your own communities), your culture is broken. If it is COOL to be a foul-mouthed young man with no job skills, your culture is broken. If you would rather do nothing and be paid for it, your culture is broken. If you view the children you father as at best a meal ticket and at worst no responsibility of yours, your culture is broken.

This broken culture is possibly best illustrated by the endless parade of rap “stars” gunned down every time you turn on the media. I mean, guys…if you are going to be vulgar enough to actually make money off of words that would have gotten my backside well-beaten by my parents fifty years ago, TAKE THE MONEY, MOVE OUT OF THE HELL-HOLE YOU GREW UP IN and STOP HANGING AROUND WITH THE KIND OF VULGAR DANGERIOUS IDIOTS YOU GREW UP WITH! It is the culture at fault, because no Rapper ever says, “Whew! That chapter of my life is over! Now I can just take the money, move my family somewhere safe, and change my dumb-ass street name to ‘Phillip Johnson’ and have a safe, normal life!”

Every February, I am bombarded with the rightfully impressive achievements of fine black people. Almost all of them are famous for what happened decades ago, and of the ones that are promoted today, I rarely see the Black Conservatives that I know so well, because (implied) “they’re not really black.” If I were to point out that the people being ignored are all rich, successful, hard-working individuals and that it is racist to dismiss them as somehow not Black because they are not “keeping it real”, I would be branded with as a racist very quickly. But I am sorry, let me understand this, “Real” black culture is to live violently, exploit the system, and die badly? You are PROUD to say that is your yardstick for what you want your culture to pursue? And I am a bad guy for believing you can do better and achieve great things?

I also frequently hear in the media that, because I expect young black men to behave excellently, work hard, and take care of their families, I am “disrespecting” somebody. Foo! Respect is earned. Get a job, work hard and take care of your families, love your wife, your kids, take care of your house, and live a Godly life, and I don’t care what color you are. Black, Blue, Green…I am color blind. Behave well and EARN my respect.
