I don't see why anyone is surprised. They wanted an "interfaith" service. They got one.
Surely they're not surprised that the Islamic service would include "Allahu Akbar". It's as much a part of that service as "Amen" is in a Christian service.
The real question is why in Heaven's name would they want an Islamic service in a 9/11 memorial ceremony at all. There should be limits to tolerance when it gets in the face of those we are memorializing.

"Allu Akbar" is literally translated as "Allah is Greater". It is the Islamic way of elevating Allah above Jesus. Imagine the liberal outcry if Christian Conservatives started chanting, "Jesus is Greater!", instead of our normal, "Jesus Loves You!"
The Liberals must elevate Islam in order to bring down Jesus. For liberals, Christian Conservatives (and Jews) are the enemy. Since Islam is the Enemy of Christianity, the Liberal mind calculates the "enemy of my enemy is my friend". In the end, it will backfire.

Freedom of religion was never meant to encompass devil worship, be it islam or satanism. No difference. This only happened because America lost sight of its roots, its foundation.
