Heh.

I told her about your fandom and she was so grateful.

Lord I hope Kevin Wade is elected but don’t forget he ran several times before.

He’s a great candidate but Delaware is just too blue.

However.....Fay is my buddy....I love her dearly. We both write on the Delaware site, two very different methods of writing but we respect each other.

I once took Kevin Wade around my church and introduced him to everybody, even my curmudgeon priest.

If he wins, I’m happy. Chris Coons is a boobaloob.

I’m not making any bets.

So Friday night through Saturday afternoon I spent with Kaitlyn and my formerly barbed-wired heart was lifted. Indeed it soared.

Because I have not seen that child for any length of time since early June as her hospital-addicted mother spent 42 of the last 60 days in a loony bin....all fake like Muncheussen syndrome has it.

I discovered that Kaitlyn loved me as much as I loved her. For her whole life, even the 9 years when they lived in Baltimore, I kept her once a month. I planned our activites to include going to musicals, an outdoor Shakespeare play, the Delaware state fair....on and on.

I have never been anything but a great grandmother to her and no mind that her mother-my sympathetic-attention addicted daughter-yells at me for such as not breast-feeding her or going back to work too soon after her birth...Kaitlyn has no reason but to love me with all her heart.

And she does and she missed me.

I was emotionally a wreck, not from sadness. But from happiness....I have not been happy for two months. I’ve been lonely and miserable and taking care of two lonely dogs for those 42 days.

Now she sends me Facebook private message how miserable she is (she is back across the street, WITH abusive husband, so much for Ray Rice-I just do not know what it is about).

But I REFUSE to be unhappy any more.

It’s all up to Melissa, a 37 year old woman addicted to hospitals....they call it, you should smile, “hospital hopper syndrome”...so this is not unknown.

She’s denying it all over the place, of course, but I think the Delaware child people are on to her. After all, it’s what they do and there is a syndrome called Mancheussen syndrome by proxy and that has those people worried.

With THIS syndrome mothers do awful things to their children for their addictive need for sympathy and attention. I do NOT think this is the case with my daughter but you can believe she’s got all kinds of people on to her.

Anyway, I spent many hours hugging and loving Kaitlyn and she loved me back. SHE is the center of my universe. Oh I love daughter dearly but she has to decide her life route. I refuse to be part of that misery for another second.

So for now, I am happy. I have doubts and fears because no, I don’t believe soninlaw is going to turn into a model citizen.

But I wish them the best.

Meanwhile Kaitlyn is playing a trombone (it’s blue plastic?) and is part of her school’s EXCEL program which is no, not a spreadsheet, but some thing for smarter students. She loves her school and she is a great kid.

She has my heart wrapped in barbed-wire.

Gotcha, I guess the important thing is she’s giving it her all. That’s the most you can ask. Brilliant writer.
