Hillary Clinton has revealed that she worked through her husband’s affair whilst he was President by making him go through an agonising 'truth and reconciliation' process.
The former US Secretary of State said that she forced Bill Clinton into South Africa-style hearings where he had to be completely honest before she forgave him.
She said she was inspired by the country's former leader Nelson Mandela and that she had to act otherwise she would remain in a mental 'prison' for the rest of her life.
Mrs Clinton, 66, has rarely spoken about her husband’s infidelity with White House intern Monica Lewinsky when he was President which led to him being impeached in 1998.
But it has become an issue once again given that she is tipped to run for the Presidency in the 2016 election.
In an interview Mrs Clinton said that she got through the ordeal with a simple mantra: 'I moved on'.
She said that she felt blessed to have such a supportive husband and that she feels 'very lucky'.
But Mrs Clinton said: 'That doesn’t mean to say we haven’t disappointed each other.'
She told Psychologies magazine: 'I’m inspired by the example of Nelson Mandela who led a country to a new future through forgiveness and reconciliation.

It was very clear during the original Monica Mess that when the public viewed Hillary as a victim, her whole numbers inevitably rose.
This news story now just as then is a function now then of her flagging popularity.

One suspects that Mrs. Clinton knows and approves (or does not care). One possibility is that this "marriage" is a mere performance, and that neither has an interest in each other beyond a facade that potentially enables the power and fortune offered by another Clinton presidency.
One also suspects that Mrs. Clinton is so repellent to so many citizens that many do not blame (impeached and disbarred) Bill for the recreation.

And she knew when he was “completely honest” with her how? The man lies easier than zero does. She has no idea if he has EVER been completely honest with her in their lives.
You have a good point there. She's such a liar that we'll never know. And who would want to air their dirty linen this way? And how could she possibly know if he's actually telling the truth if they did go through this exercise?
One thing I've always wondered is whether he ever visits her Georgetown home? I seen reports that she occasionally visits him in Chappaqua, but I've never seen a report of Bill visiting her, or in residence, in Georgetown.

Hillary is the answer. The answer to the question “Who could possibly be a worse president than Obama”. And I foolishly used to think the correct answer to that question was “nobody”.
