Before We Blindly Wage War On ISIS, We Need To Ask A Few Questions First…
Congress needs to get some answers first...
The strategy that President Obama laid out Wednesday night to “degrade and ultimately destroy the terrorist group known as ISIL” is incoherent, inconsistent, and, ultimately, non-credible.
A year ago, Obama and John Kerry were straining at the leash to launch air strikes on Syrian President Bashar Assad for his alleged use of chemical weapons in “killing his own people.”
But when Americans rose as one to demand that we stay out of Syria, Obama hastily erased his “red line” and announced a new policy of not getting involved in “somebody else’s civil war.”
Now, after videos of the beheadings of two U.S. journalists have set the nation on fire, the president, reading the polls, has flipped again.
Now Obama wants to lead the West and the Arab world straight into Syria’s civil war. Only this time we bomb ISIL, not Assad.
Who will provide the legions Obama will deploy to crush ISIL in Syria? The Free Syrian Army, the same rebels who have been routed again and again and whose chances of ousting Assad were derided by Obama himself in August as a “fantasy”? The FSA, the president mocked, is a force of “former doctors, farmers, pharmacists, and so forth.”

Now Obama wants Congress to appropriate $500 million to train and arm those doctors and pharmacists and send them into battle against an army of jihadist terrorists who just bit off one-third of Iraq.
Before Congress votes a dime, it should get some answers.

This is the first picture of a father who shot and fatally wounded his seven-year-old daughter amid a bitter custody battle with estranged wife.
Yasser Alromisse, 46, who was born in Egypt, wanted custody of his daughter Mary Ann Shipstone after becoming estranged with his wife Lyndsey.
After shooting his daughter, Alromisse took his own life inside a silver Toyota on the driveway of his ex-wife’s home in Northiam, near Rye, East Sussex on Thursday.

It’s an important question: If the U.S. is going to supply weapons to Syrian rebels, how do we know we’re giving guns to “good guys” and not just arming the next Al Qaeda?
And who’s going to vet the recipients of those weapons?

Same here. I was thinking maybe they do this to them daily, so when the actual day comes they don’t think it will.
The conservative leaders I'm thinking of speak up all the time. They're just not sounding the charge. Not yet, at least.

Journalist Once Held by Islamic State Militants Reveals Why He Believes Beheading Victims Appeared So Calm Before Their Deaths

One of the many elements surrounding the Islamic State’s horrific beheadings has been questions surrounding why — and how — the victims appear so calm just seconds before dying.
A French journalist who was once held by the terror group believes that the captives likely didn’t realize what was about to happen.
Europe 1 radio reporter Didier Francois, 53, who was released earlier this year after 10 months of confinement with the Islamic State, said that militants put captives through a number of mock executions and, as a result, they were worn down and didn’t know what was to come, according to the Daily Mail.
“They did not realise that this time it was the real thing,” he said.
Francois claimed last month that he saw James Foley, an American journalist with whom he was detained, being forced to stand against a wall and pose as though “he had been crucified” before his death.
Observers have also pondered how the three victims — British aid worker David Haines and American journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff — remained composed in light of their horrific circumstances, which were recorded by the terror group.
“All three men have appeared to display a quiet acceptance of their fate, leading to speculation that they either did not realise what awaited them or, that after a long and desperate confinement, any release was preferable to remaining in the hands of their tormentors,” the Guardian’s Martin Chulov wrote Sunday.
One diplomat, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Chulov that the victims appeared to be used to being tortured and threatened with death.
“It seems to me that each of those poor men had been used to mock executions,” he said. “They had been forced to do this sort of thing before. This is how depraved this group is.”
As for Francois, who was held for 10 months and released in April, he initially remained silent upon returning, keeping quiet for the sake of his former fellow prisoners.
“I never spoke about it publicly because the kidnappers had threatened reprisals on the remaining hostages if we spoke,” Francois said in a recent interview. “We contacted the families of the kidnapped and the American authorities, but publicly we decided to keep quiet
