Firefighters not only work together they live together and get to know one another very well. You’d be surprised how little theft there is in FD’s because it’s about the fastest way there is to get fired, no second chances unless departments have drastically changed.
I would agree the story needs more rope.
You'd be surprised at how much damn thieving goes on right under your nose even with a 'no second chance' policy.
