The Bible says that he who spares the rod hates his son. I agree. The case of the 4-year old went way beyond a judicious application of the "rod". This guy tore the kid's skin and left a lot of bruises on his back, the back of his legs; he also had defensive wounds on his hands and arms. The 'concerned father" lost control and I would love an opportunity to 'splain to him why such behavior is not conducive to raising a well-balanced, emotionally stable, productive member of society.
With out the family structure, there is no real role model to go along with the punishment - it takes both "application of the rod" and a good example of how one should comport oneself. The breakdown in family and society has turned this into a "beat down" environment that will turn out successively worse cases of abusers. Old societal mores insisted on one disciplining his children, but it also left the door open to have some of the locals administer a judicious beating to those who absolutely abused their families.
Well now its come out that Perterson “whooped” another 4 year old son by a different baby mamma and put a wound on the kid’s head and a permanent scar over one eyelid.
He is revolting and can’t believe he brings such trashy conduct everywhere he goes.
