4. Sawm: fasting and self-control during the holy month of Ramadan
5. Hajj: pilgrimage to Mecca at least once in a lifetime if one is able
The fasting time meant that we foreigners were NOT ALLOWED to eat or drink IN FRONT of a Muslim until sunset.
The fasting was only from sun-up to sunset. The summers were tough on them. I watched them. SOME Saudis were better Muslims than others. No surprise.
