What I find frustrating is the fact that the police filed this incident as "unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle."

Really? What about child endangerment? What about reckless driving? After all, drivers were forced to swerve out of the path while she drove on the wrong side of the road.

The woman turned herself into police. Here's the link:

Pretty mild stuff, and I have to hand it to her for expressing out in the open the kind of rage drivers express, usually under their breath, daily. But was it worth it?

No, of course not.

Whatever the social and power situation, "he started it," (whine) etc., automobiles are not extensions of our body language. It's not a damn playground (most places). It's transportation, already a dangerous proposition. Would she have engaged in all that harangue if she had been pushing a shopping cart?

She was endangering her child, and herself, and other drivers... to accomplish what? Justice?

(Good luck with that, eh?)

In the end, the cops would prefer, most of the time, to just move it along and engage in some really basic driving courtesy.

This woman is a nurse at a military hospital. She had a child in the car with her. She put a lot of innocent lives in danger so she could rage at someone. This happened right by the NEX at Pearl Harbor. She needs some negative consequences beyond the shame. Lunatic!

Now it sounds like she is just making crap up "he tried to reversa nd back onto me" Why in hell would he do that? He was just tryuing to get around you because you were blocking traffic.

I see this all the time, have made a left turn behind a fool that refuses to turn when large gaps in oncoming traffic are readily available.

Sometimes they get irate and blow horns. Stuff 'em. Why should I waste my life because they cannot make a decision? Take a taxi if driving is so scary.

She’s a lunatic. She ought to lose her license for a year then come back to court and convince a hard headed judge that she’s ready to drive like a rational person.

“cut her off”= he changed lanes without my permission

If you can’t control your temper, it controls you. As here.

Thousands have seen the street confrontation between a furious mother and the driver who cut her off.

I have to travel to Germany frequently on business. I don't know what the road rage statistics are there but I'm certain the situation is far better than in the US, simply because drivers don't cut each other off, block faster traffic in the left lane, pass on the right, or practice other bad driving. It's certainly not perfect over there - especially around the larger cities - but it's far better than here. They manage to drive faster than we do while also driving more safely than we do.

It's impossible now, but if all 50 states had instituted driver education and licensing requirements as strenuous as those in Germany, we might be where they are now. As it is, people like these two idiots are why all of us will eventually be forced into self-driving cars with no ability to control anything about the vehicle except it's destination and the music we listen to en route.

Hawaii hasn’t changed any. I always thought the place would improve if it was suspended underwater for a week or two. The average IQ is less that tap water.

That woman’s inability to control her temper might get her killed one day, a bullet to the face from close range.

She had no idea the intentions or inclinations of the other driver. There are evil people who will kill you for far less than her tantrum.

She taught her kid a poor lesson: It’s OK to get all out of proportion over a minor traffic incident, or any incident at all. Going ballistic is what mommy does, so I will, too.
