We used to get “the paddle” at school. They drilled holes in it so you wouldn’t get that air cushion effect. Sure it hurt, but mostly it was humiliating. I still want to stomp that teacher forty five years later.
So you didn't earn that paddling? I never knew a kid that got a paddling in school, that did not deserve it, myself included.
