With EU for an umbrella, I don’t see any reason that historical regions such as Scotland or Catalonia shouldn’t separate, and do so amicably.
EU citizenship still allows people and goods to move freely throughout the territory.
The days of the EU are over—it will be replaced by a new German Empire—a sort of “Co-Prosperity Sphere” that will see a rise in nationalism.
