The Atlanta-based business plans restaurants in Brookfield, Danbury, Enfield and Wallingford.
The Brookfield location will be the first Chick-fil-A in the state when it opens in mid-September, said the owner, Devon Scanlon.
The venue will seat 109 and offer outdoor seating and a drive-thru. Customers will have access to free Wi-Fi and an indoor play area for children.

She!? Why those sexist jerks at Chik-fil-a discriminating aganist gays, women and minorities.
Get some good southern cooking in those libs up there....maybe that’ll help square them away.
Libs to boycott/picket?
Excellent.
I had Chick-Fil-A in the Pittsburgh area for the first time about three months ago. Delicious. They make several really good products.
As far as the politics go, we’re getting a Hobby Lobby as well.

Let’s not get carried away.
Dropping a chicken breast into a deep frier does not southern food make. Yummy, yes, southern, not so much.
Where’s my Washington State Chick-Fil-a?
They opened one in Chicopee last winter. Had two or three protesters show up and promptly get ignored.
Washington, you say?
Three coming...Northgate, Bellevue, and Tacoma. All slated for opening next year.
Correction...Lynnwood, not Northgate.
A good starter though, and take it from there.

I've been there. My sister lives only a few minutes away.
I agree! The only downside is that Connecticut is already host to a lot of overweight, shapeless, doughy people. I'd hate to give them Chick-Fil-A's irresistibly delicious food - they'll just pack on more pounds. Connecticut has a history of being associated with fat people:
SOUTH NORWALK, Conn., Sept. 11 [1907]. The Fat Men's association of Connecticut held its forty-first annual outing and eatrest this afternoon at Dorlon's point, on Long Island sound. Mother earth groaned and there were creaks and shakes like unto the approach of an earthquake as the kings of avoirdupois gathered from far and near.Trucks, stone boats and automobiles were used in getting the visitors from the railroad station to the Point. No livery rig In the city was procurable. The dealers have learned the consequences from experience.
Some of the new recruits to the association are outstripping tho older ones by about twenty-live pounds per year. Many of the older ones, such as President Patrick H. Murphy of Westport, D. S. Trobridgo of Hartford, A. H. Dillon of Bridgewater and Jacob Schaub of South Norwalk are losing at the same rate, and big, warm tears would drop upon their bosoms during the conquest of food yesterday as they realized that they now took up only three chairs at tho table, when time was that they took up four.
D. S. Wadsworth of Hartford, with his 4?6 pounds, is still the jumbo of the boys. The hotel steps were declared unsafe for him to tread upon and he was led in the horse driveway and up the concrete walk. A three-inch plank was put across three chairs for him to sit at the table.
William P. Hurlburt of Westport, who tips the beam at 407, had to bring a special fork two feet long to reach over his mighty chest to his mouth.
President Murphy awarded to Capt. Stanley H. Lowndes of Northport, L. 1., the prize as the most graceful buck and wing dancer. The captain is also tha strongest man, being able to carry a horse and wagon on his expansive shoulders.
The shaking of the earth increased as the members continued to eat. It was 5 o'clock when the chairs and the blocks of wood were placed under them to sit on and it was 6 p. m. when the derrick and the hoisting arrangements were used to remove them from the tables.

God bless Truett Cathy who died this last month.
Well since Truett Cathy (may he rest in peace) started Chik-fil-A and he is Georgia born and bred, I’d say it is close enough.
This is a company that does it the right way. They treat their employees and their customers great. They are closed on Sundays as a matter of principle. It is a good company to support
and by the way Marylanders are hardly experts on southern cuisine

LOL.
My father’s family is pure Alabama. Is that southern enough for you, Nifster?
I’m sorry that you took it as a knock my saying a deep fried chicken breast does not southern food make. But it really doesn’t.
I know for sure that Chic Fil A’s Asian salad isn’t southern food, either. The Cobb salad on their menu was invented in California.
Heck, they don’t even sell sweet tea (only sweetened ice tea, which all southerners know is not the same).
Whoo-hoo!!!!!!
I’ve been waiting for this!! Never had a chik-fil-a meal. I’m drooling already.
Wish they’d open one closer to me.
wow!!! An American christian-owned company EXPANDING in this horrible economy?!
I may have to go get Chik Fil A for dinner!
