White House chief of staff Denis McDonough pledged to Latino lawmakers during a private meeting Thursday that Pres Obama will take executive action on immigration before the holidays are over – an effort to soothe lawmakers furious about the administration’s move to hold off on action.
The timeline was described by several members who attended the meeting and, substantively speaking, isn’t different than the end-of-year pledge made by the White House when it moved to delay executive action on immigration until after the midterm elections
But it gives at least some faith to members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, who have long pressured the Obama administration to ease deportations of undocumented immigrants – particularly as the prospects for comprehensive immigration reform on the Hill slowly collapsed over the last year.
One member – Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.) — said there was some “serious venting” inside the room. “As I told the chief, I said I for one need constant reassurance,” Grijalva said. “I don’t want to go down this path come November and then for some other reason, find that the immigrant community and the Latino community get thrown in the heap again.”
Multiple people familiar with the meeting said McDonough did not go into specifics of the executive action that Obama will ultimately issue, but stressed that he will go as far as he could under existing law. And – in a response to questions from one lawmaker in the room — McDonough said Obama still plans to act regardless of the results of the November elections or even if the political narrative around the issue worsens for Democrats, people familiar with the discussion said.
Grijalva said after the meeting that he believes the scope of the action will be “significant.” The White House has considered expanding a 2012 program that halted deportations for hundreds of thousands of young undocumented immigrants, as well as easing some restrictions on legal immigration.
McDonough, accompanied by WH domestic policy adviser Cecilia Munoz (a former La Raza lobbyist) and other White House officials, declined to go into details of the meeting except to underscore that Obama still plans to act. “The president understands the depth of the broken immigration system that we have and he’s bound and determined to make sure that we fix it because it’s impacting our economy, it’s impacting our job growth and it’s a humanitarian issue that’s impacting families across the country,” he told reporters. “So we’re going to fix it and we’ll do it before the end of the year,” McDonough added.
Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.), the leading advocate of immigration reform, said the Congressional Hispanic Caucus will meet early next week to determine a formal response to the White House over delaying deportation relief. “No more excuses, I don’t care what senator is dangling in the wind, I don’t care what Republican proposal is being made,” he said. “I don’t care what happens. We are moving forward.”
“We are concerned that this is a community and these are issues that get stalled,” added Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham (D-N.M.), speaking for the Latino community. “Why are we stalling? For us, these are not political issues, these are substantive issues that move the country forward.”
To the astute observer, Gutierrez is hiding plenty. Taxpayers demand to know :

<><> Did Gutierrez employ foreign agents as staff w/ tax dollars?
<><> did he ever file falsified documents w/ the federal government citizenship.
<><> did he ever make false statements on tax returns?
<><> did he ever apply for EITC refunds liusting children "back Home" that re not related to him?
<><> does he earn outside income as a paid political consultant to foreign governments?

Hell I just got through working on a case with 3 illegals. Either the SSN was “borrowed” from someone else or completely false. Oh and they all drive illegally without a driver’s license too and love to drink. I’m guessing their vehicles are fully insured too.../s Went to the car dealership where they bought their vehicles and got their car loan application which was full of fiction as well. Turns out one of the illegals is using two SSNs. Imagine that.
Yeah sure I see no problems with letting illegals in. None at all.../s

Mouth writing a check that Obama can't cash. If the CR is only extended through Dec. 11 (forcing a lame duck session) and Obama does some type of action on amnesty then the Govt. will shut down over amnesty funding and the immigrants and Obama will seem at fault.
If the CR is through the congressional change then Obama will not have the money to do anything grand.
And so he will, because the Congress has abdicated its constitutional power to oppose him. We (non-Democrats) are coming into a Congressional Majority

I say the above for this reason: The pro-amnesty people demand that President Obama give work visas to at least 8,000,000+ illegals.
You see, pro-amnesty traitors conveniently forget to mention that many of these 8,000,000 illegals who will get work visas have husbands/wives and children.
So my point is this: Pro-amnesty people are not really talking about 8,000,000 illegals, because they secretly know in their hearts that they are really talking about more like 24,000,000 illegals----3 times 8,000,000 illegals--- who will eventually get AMNESTY when President Obama takes his pen and quickly signs his executive order in a few weeks.
how did I arrive at the number of 24,000,000 illegals? I did it this way:
1. Obviously, illegal immigrant men need their wives and children to keep them company. and many of them are already here.
2. And illegal immigrant women need their husbands to help them with the children.
3. Also, these illegal immigrants with their new work visas will now have no fear that immigration agents will be coming to their home to check to see how many in the household besides the bread winner are here illegally.
4. So once they get their work visas, they can invite any number of relatives to live with them without fear that immigration will be coming arouse to check the status of the people in the home. As long as they pay their rent on time, no immigration officials will bother them and their families.
5. You see, you can't very well legalize 8,000,000 illegals by giving them work visas, on the one hand, and then, on the other hand, turning around and deporting husbands and wives and children who don't qualify for work visas for one reason or the other.
6. So I believe that multiplying 8,000,000 illegals by 3 is a good conservative estimate---an estimate based on a household with two parents, one child.
7.Of course, many households will be single households with no children, but, as we know, many, many households of illegals who will be given work visas will have two or more children, so all those many children will easy make up for those households that have no children.
8. So that is the way I concluded that 24,000,000+ illegals will really get amnesty when traitor President Obama gives away our country with the simple signing of his executive order.
9. Again, when President Obama quickly signs his executive order soon after the mid-term elections, he will NOT be giving amnesty to just 8,000,000 illegals as the pro-amnesty people want us to believe.
10. Rather, when the smoke clears, anti-amnesty people will wake up one morning and realize that the pro-amnesty people and President Obama have pulled off one of the biggest scams in history, because President Obama will really give amnesty to 24,000,000 illegals, not 8,000,000 illegals as President Obama will claim when he signs his executive order soon after the mid-term elections.
NOTE: 'Because it was the right thing to do." This is Obama's favorite phrase when he wants to justify his decision on a controversial subject like illegal immigration.
It is as if Obama wants us to believe that his decision is divinely inspired, that is, God himself told him what to do. What a bunch of crap.
So be prepared to hear Obama's phrase---"Because it was the right thing to do"---over and over after Obama signs the worst executive order ever.
It is the worst ever because President Obama will lie to us and give amnesty to not 8,000,000 illegals as Obama will lead us to believe when he signs the executive order, but to an unbelievable number of 24,000,000 illegals. Sick. Sick. Sick.
Oh my, the list is long and detailed WRT the "Programs" we want launched.....after we ditch the Dummycrats. The GOP is gonna get our suggestions 24/7.
Obama's pen is running out of ink....and his phone's got "technical" problems.
IF it happens, the margin could be narrow enough to let the RINOs rule with business as usual. If it doesn't happen, we are back where we started.
