Some residents in Borough Park in New York City are irate with the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) because their service has been halted due to their low-set mail slots, according to the New York Daily News. The postal service claims the slots are dangerous for their carriers and, as a result, the residents have to stand in lines an hour long at the 51st St. post office, many of them trying to pick up badly-needed medicines or their Social Security checks. The residents of 46th Street were alerted to the change in their service by a letter from a postal service customer service manager arriving on August 21. The manager wrote, My carrier has brought to my attention of his safety and I cant afford for him to get injured. We are not trying to cause any unnecessary expense but we need this corrected.

You're welcome.
Nor rain, nor sleet, nor low mailbox slots .......
As a taxpayer, I feel like I’m bending over all the time. But I guess the royalty that works for government bows to no one.
I sometimes think you have to score under 80 on an I.Q. test to work there.
” The residents of 46th Street were alerted to the change in their service by a letter from a postal service customer service manager arriving on August 21.”
However, the residents did not receive the alert because their mail slots were too low and the alerts were forwarded to the main post office.
Ah, the genius of it all would put a full grin on Slow Joe.
This official statement by the USPO manager is not even written in English. They have charged an illiterate with the responsibility of managing the delivery of texts.
It would be nice to be able to get mail without driving 10 miles.
guess their motto needs an update. wind, rain, hail, you’ll get your mail. low mail slots, mail you’ll get, not.
Note I tried to mail my tax return and check but the mail slot at the post office is too low. I did not want to hurt my back so please come by the house to pick up during my normal hours of occupancy.
Another job for robots to do.
Obviously not applicable in San Francisco.
Except Obama, who bows to everyone.

yeah I heard another ridiculous waste of government money today: a deaf worker at Social Security Administration that the government has to employ 2 interpreters for so she can work there.........at $400 a day.
No kidding. English is not this persons first language. It reads like of the scam e-mails from Nigeria:
My carrier has brought to my attention of his safety and I cant afford for him to get injured. We are not trying to cause any unnecessary expense but we need this corrected.
At the main post office in my city you have to be a minority female and weigh more than 300 pounds.
I can already see the headline when the little people can’t do their job:
“Postal workers coming up short in eyes of the public”

The postal service is going to the birds in more ways than one.
So who is going to empty those blue mail drops?
