I don’t disagree. But I could imagine how it would have played out with the Regional Supervisor when our Saturday totals were off by $600 (this was the early ‘80s).

Oddly, we only had a couple of complaints even though the pan dough didn’t even fill the pan.

Let me guess: The instructions were in English? Or perhaps cursive?

It's interesting that you mention that. There was a product I bought not long ago, I can't remember what the exact product was, but it was a chemical sort of product like a pesticide or household cleaner. I am a label reader... "the label is the law" is ingrained in me from my days being a licensed herbicide applicator on the Railroad... anyways I was looking at the bottle for instructions and precautions but I couldn't find it because half the damned label was in Spanish. I was pretty pissed off when I thought to myself, "What if I was looking for emergency poisoning instructions?"

Not to worry, she’ll get her job back. It’s America and who says you have to speak or understand English?

No one with a normal sense of smell should accidentally use bleach in place of anything, and the same goes for most cleaning products to a significant degree.

It was bleach and water mixed in a milk bottle. She didn’t notice it was clear instead of white when she poured it. And the people who drank it didn’t notice it was clear instead of white and smelled like bleach instead of milk. How stupid can one be?

Is it safe to drink bleach if you dilute it?

If it was laundry bleach, the instructions might have read “for use with whites only”.

“Is it safe to drink bleach if you dilute it?”

Not in the normal sense no. But if you take a bleach bottle and pour all the bleach out of it and then fill it with unsafe water you can sanitize a gallon of water using just the little bit of bleach that clings to inside of the bottle but you don’t want more than 1 or 2 parts per million.

I love to cook and bake, but can’t recall any recipes calling for bleach. O the Hugh starched, bleached manatees.
