Texas might need to succeed before being taken over by Californians, Yanks and Latin Americans migrating/immigrating in.

If Scotland can secede, so can Texas

No. That statement is not logical. The two States are members of two very different nations with two very different constitutions.

Whether Scotland can secede from the United Kingdom has no bearing whatsoever on whether Texas can secede from the United States.

Texas is succeeding just fine. But yeah, we may need to secede before the lefties move in and take over.

Secession sounds better and better to my ears.

I view us reaching a point where there is genuinely nothing left to lose. America itself, with the rule of law dead, no soveriegnty thanks to open-borders, a degraded populace that elects a marxist scumbag for president, and a culture drenched in deviancy and homosex.

Indeed, nothing left to lose.

The window to do this was 2010-12. Now, so many yankees have moved down here that it would never pass at the ballot box although I’d LOVE to see it happen. Washington is dragging Texas into the gutter with them.

“If Scotland can secede, so can Texas”

Has the author cleared this with the neo-Lincolnites?

Does anyone doubt that Obama and his administration of Constitution Haters would rather bomb Americans, and Texas in particular, than muslim terrorists and ISIS?

I’m not sure if there are enough “real” Texans to get enough votes to succeed.

Our demographic is fading as we are overran by the groups you mention.

"need to succeed"

Texas already has had a lot of success.

Presumably, the Scots referendum is about giving the go-ahead to begin a process that will ultimately result in the separation of Scotland from the UK through negotiations and legislation on the part of both the UK and Scottish governments.

I haven't had time to find out enough about it, but would really be surprised if the vote involved unilaterally declaring Scottish independence as soon as a majority voted "yes."

So, sure, anybody could begin a process that might eventually result in one part of a country becoming an independent country with the consent of the existing government. That would be different from what was attempted in 1861.

Noticed Soros is going ape crazy trying to stop Scottish independence. Based on that fact alone, it must be a good idea.

There will be no successions in the U.S. If any of the states try it, we will kick your butts into submission, just like we did with the Confederates.

Look, I’m sorry, but Texas can NOT secede from Great Britain. I told you guys to be more careful betting on the Cowboys. Oh, yeah, and worse news: if Scotland goes, you gotta wear the skirts. :-(
