Unfortunately I know quite a few thoughtful,christian conservatives who believe that the consequences of killing innocent men,women and children lead to ever escalating deaths of innocents as opposing parties defend what they believe to be their best interests and often are not.

I think we need to spend far more time seeking the Truth and then we might find that the “Truth” is not what we were first told it was by men with agendas that were not in our best interest.

1. I question the labeling of men, women, and children as innocent, especially where we are talking about those people killed in Iraq, Japan, Germany are concerned. Most of those people, men, women, and even children, would have readily picked up a rifle and attempted to kill our soldiers if given the chance.

2. I take it that you must have been against the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the Carpet bombing of Dresden, right? How about those instances in the Bible where God commanded the Israelites to kill every man, woman, and child in the cities and kingdoms he commanded them to destroy?

This is a development worth watching. I have to wonder the context of his words, and what these Christians were expecting to hear from speakers come to them. They’re not all Southern Baptists out there, and Christians whose families have been so for such a long time that they still speak the language of Christ, Aramaic, don’t cotton too well to what they see as lecturing from other varieties of Christian on how to be so, from what I’ve observed.
