Andrea Mitchell: Obama’s New Foreign Policy Advisers All MSNBC Regulars
The Daily Caller ^ | Brendan Bordelon

Posted on 09/10/2014 12:06:17 PM PDT by dead

MSNBC’S Andrea Mitchell claimed President Barack Obama’s new cabal of foreign policy advisers “looks like a review of our guest list” on the liberal cable news network, with the AP’s Julie Pace explaining that the White House is trying to bring the commentators “into the fold.”

Mitchell spoke Tuesday with Pace about Obama’s Monday night dinner with the DC foreign policy intelligentsia, presumably designed to help craft a strategy to contain an aggressive Russia and defeat ISIS in the Middle East.

But as the MSNBC host ticked off the guests — including former Clinton aide Sandy Berger, longtime Democratic adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski and former Democratic congresswoman Jane Harman — she couldn’t help but notice a trend.

“It looks like a review of our guest list here at ‘Andrea Mitchell Reports,’” she said. “Julie, why did the president finally reach out and bring in all of these different voices on foreign policy?”

“It was a pretty unusual thing for the president to do,” Pace explained. “Not only does he not usually reach out to folks like this, he actually has criticized was he calls ‘the Washington chattering class,’ people who tend to comment from the outside.”

“So this was a real attempt by the president to bring those people into the fold, let them hear directly from him,” she continued. “And also hear from them, get some advice. A lot of these people on the list — who as you said, are great guests on your show — are people who have been through a lot. And they might actually have some advice that he could learn from.”

Makes sense. A president liked by a small minority of Americans counseled by a network watched by a small minority of Americans.

He just wants them all to go back to swooning over him and calling him ‘great’ on foreign policy. Since it will be their advice he’ll be using they can’t possibly criticize him. They’ll only start giving him big wet kisses of praise again.

Obama is so in over his head and he’s so NOT presidential material.

“….these different voices” all think and vote the same way. So much for that much-touted “diversity” that Liberals praise. It NEVER extends to conservatives, who are scorned as ignorant hillbillies who are only fit to tax so that the smart Liberals can carry out their utopian plans.

Collusion between the press and the DNC has lead to election victories (and disclosure of October Surprises against the GOP) for the past several election cycles.

The FEC needs to treat their coordinated efforts as “in kind contributions”.

“Mr President, perhaps some of your advisors should have real world experience.”
“Absolutely not! These folks will be fine!”

MSNBC is the only network left that still gets a tingle up their leg.

Andrea Mitchell: Obama’s New Foreign Policy Advisers All MSNBC Regulars

Let me get this straight:
About a year ago Hussein was whining that he wanted to bomb Assad in Syria, but congress stood in his way;
now he wants to give him [Assad-the same guy who used chemical weapons on his own people] arms to fight ISIS;
and they don't see that they are sowing the seeds for future problems?

These are the brilliant minds - "The Best and the Brightest" that came up with this "policy"?

The solution is very simple.

Send air mobile American Special Forces troops into Iraq equipped with drones and Laser Target Designators .

Allow them liaison with the local troops to identify ISIS terrorist troops.

Fly in a number of aircraft armed with JDAMs. B-52s and B-1s carry a really good load out of these things.

Drop the JDAMS on targets.

This is not rocket science, it's Desert Warfare with few population centers and long supply lines and no cover and we are fighting against against a lightly armed and over extended enemy.

We did the same thing in Afghanistan and defeated the Taliban in a matter of months with less than 100 Green Berets

Looks to me simply buying off his Hillary-loyal critics from the Left.

Not surprising at all.
