A day after a new video surfaced showing Ray Rice hitting his then-fiancée in the face in a hotel elevator, prompting the Baltimore Ravens to release the running back and the NFL to increase his suspension from two games to indefinite, Janay Rice defended her husband and criticized the media.
"I woke up this morning feeling like I had a horrible nightmare, feeling like I'm mourning the death of my closest friend," she wrote in an Instagram post. "But to have to accept the fact that it's reality is a nightmare itself. No one knows the pain that the media & unwanted [opinions] from the public has caused my family. To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret everyday is a horrible thing.
"To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his ass off for all his life just to gain ratings is horrific. THIS IS OUR LIFE! What don't you all get. If your intentions were to hurt us, embarrass us, make us feel alone, take all happiness away, you've succeeded on so many levels. Just know we will continue to grow & show the world what real love is! Ravensnation we love you!"

When you think about it, these two are not far from being Bill and Hillary Clinton. Bill is just better at it, and Hillary falls down cold on her own.

You make a great point and actually Rice was making $3 mil a year so it’s a 7 figure lifestyle.
What if a black homosexual football player, who was the current media darling, was caught on video pounding the dog snot out of his white ‘husband’ in an elevator?
She stays with him because it feels so good when he STOPS hitting her.......

Like it or not, sports celebrities are role models.
Now she is married to an abusive loser AND they are going broke.
She sees the gravy train chugging out of the station. Hope she enjoys her new life, since she loves him so much (or maybe she’ll switch trains)
She only wanted the money and lifestyle.
If Rice’s lifestyle drops dramatically( unless he gets his own reality show)
I expect gold digger to move on, as well, in the near future.

I would like someone — on Fox at least — to make the point that in a world of imperfect people, there needs to be room for repentance, forgiveness, and healing, and that these are almost entirely between Ray Rice and his wife.
When I moved to the Baltimore area a few years ago , I was and remain amazed by the holy sacrament of Ravens worship.
Not being a football fan, it’s kind of fun to see all the faithful struggling g with this.
