I think she’s talking about the media in general..probably ESPN specifically. She’s essentially saying everyone is playing the video, hyping it up to boost viewership/internet views, etc - while she, the victim, has to relive it over and over. She also referred to being isolated now because it’s the world vs her husband.

Interesting move on her/their part. It is easy to paint her as having battered wife syndrome and standing by her man regardless, but it’s possible they dealt with this very bad situation which could well be a very bad isolated event and were working to move on. He also could be a serial abuser. I have not info either way, but I am so tired of the mob rule in our country automatically painting a guy like this as something with no further evidence. This video was dramatically a worst case scenario in terms of what he did in that elevator, but we know nothing about his conduct before this event or why it got to that point.

I saw a report this morning that AP has a video with sound showing that after he slapped her, she spit at him which led to his punch.

I think this indefinite ban is crap.

Did anyone NOT know that he hit her? Was he claiming that she simply fell? No.

The ONLY thing new this video showed me was:

1) Rice was so drunk/high he could barely stand up,
2) Confirms that she hit him first, and was charging him when he lashed out.

If she filed charges against him, and I was on the jury? I’d be sympathetic to her. The fact that she forgave him, and married him.... tells me this is either not indicative of their overall relationship, or... she feels partially to blame for what happened.

A two game suspension for Rice was, essentially, a $1.6 M fine. That seems more than appropriate considering the level of offense.
