Why not? Are you trying to say that God cares how you look when you worship? He’s all welcoming and so is his son Jesus.
I have been going to church since I was 6 or 7 years old...longer than I can clearly remember. Have always seen people dressed in various states of attire.

i agree with you, some people don’t even show up to church today.
In the Old Testament, when God was giving directions to Moses on the High Priest’s attire, he advised the priest to wear trousers underneath his vestment, which evidently came down to his knees. Because, “if you bend over and I see your privates, I will kill you where you stand.” (KJV) Also, the Lord always told the people to clean up and put on their best when they came before Him. It is a matter of respect. Most people would put on their best if invited to the White House.
This ain’t the goddamned third world yet, football jersies are NOT appropriate church attire at any Catholic and most Protestant churches.
