If I had the time I’d do a list off the top of my head that would sadden and astound you. I worked at a state unemployment office for most of two decades and taught “job-seeking” classes for welfare recipients when I wasn’t helping veterans.
It would sadden me, but not astound me. I have more than 20 years experience as an inner city high school teacher. I might have taught the children of the welfare recipients you dealt with. I'm sure you'd agree - the acorn does not fall far from the tree.
