I stopped watching the Sunday morning shows almost 15 years ago. I stopped watching the cable news channels maybe a year and a half or so ago.
It’s really shocking, when these things aren’t part of your daily or weekly routine, to flip them on randomly and realize how banal and intellectually vacant they are. I watched maybe 10 minutes of O’Reilly back in February and about 20 minutes of Hannity in July and it’s just screamfest. No substance, no efforts at persuasion, no unique insights anywhere. It was like watching wrestling or something, only with people in expensive suits. It’s a little embarrassing that I watched that stuff regularly for so long.
The only Sunday Show I watch after I record it on my cable dvr is: Fox News Sunday and I fast forward when a liberal is up. I am just not interested what a liberal has to say
+1000!
I agree. I don’t watch any of them for the same reason. The only one I do catch once in awhile is Greta Van Susteren and I can only watch so much of it.
I learn absolutely nothing from them and just can’t stand to watch them.

Believe me, I can relate. My daughter was shocked to learn that I used to listen to "News Radio assiduously up until she was about 4.She grew up seeing me treat news reporting as a commercial for something I wouldnt buy on a bet. Which is what it is.
