Michael Brown: typical teenager who died tragically, or dangerous thug who invited trouble?
Did you know Michael Brown was a killer?
Did you know he was a devoted gang member with an extensive juvenile record who routinely robbed convenience stores and committed acts of mayhem? And did you know that when Officer Darren Wilson shot Brown, he wasnt using unjustified force, he was defending his life? The 6-foot-4, 300-pound 18-year-old fractured Wilsons eye socket while reaching for his gun, and was killed while charging at Wilson to land another blow.
If this sounds suspectif it sounds almost unbelievablethen your head is in the right place. Nothing in this narrative is true. Racist innuendo aside, theres no evidence Brown was a violent gang member, nor is there evidence of any serious wrongdoingas a juvenile, Brown was never convicted of a felony nor was he facing charges as an adult. And while Wilson was taken to the hospital after his encounter with Brown, he didnt suffer serious injuriesthe fractured eye socket is a myth.
But if you read websites like the Independent Journal Review, dive into far-right media, or explore the world of Darren Wilson support pages, youll find plenty of people who buy the fantasy. They reject the mainstream picture of Brown: A typical teenager, struggling to carve an identity and a life out of his beliefs, actions, and missteps. In their minds Brown was a budding criminal, and Wilson a hero. Or, as one Wilson supporter said during a demonstration for the officer, Well all see this in the end that it was a good shooting. You know, it was a good kill.
We know why the Brown family was quick to give a loving portrait of Michael....

I went to school with a girl named Earla.
Names.
Geez.
It's just juvenile to tell somebody that that isn't "a f***in name".
Merry greetings from the daughter of Winifrieda Katharina, and good night.
For that matter, I had a girlfriend named Johnene.
DIdnt Dolly Parton sing a song about a Johnene.?
I hadnt given zella a thought in nearly fifty years by the way
John Wayne’s.....real first name was Marion as I remember.
that might be a tough name for any boy to carry around here in 2014
Interesting phraseology. I could make the Freeway Strangler sound like a choir boy with this choice of words.
Jamelle, you're a freaking lying propagandist. Which Black college did you graduate from?
I have an older friend named Gaylord. His daughter is my age and her name is Gayla.
Thats a great name. and doesnt likely lead to any confusion
“There were no Jamelles In the :city: High School I attended in the early 60s as far as I know”

But if there had been they would have been kids from intact, hard working families.
Things sure have changed——and the libs changed them.
.
Most of the black kids who went to my high school did indeed come from intact homes. Some were QUITE POOR..but there was a mom and a dad in thier families.
in the home of one such kid....the living room had a couch...and a Piano...NO TV!! imagine
I’ll admit to being a thugist. And a Slateist, for that matter.
Against them, I tell you.
You’ll find outliers — but its only *common* among a certain demographic thats known for making up names.
Why you've chosen to take of the banner of ebonics escapes me.
I believe you are thinking of the song Jolene. I may have been on here someone posted a slowed down version of the single and it was amazing hearing the pitch perfect vibrato in Dolly's singing voice when the 45 was played at 331/3... and someone also had posted a link to Dolly talking about how the song got it's name from a little girl she told she was going to write a song with her name in it.
Where’s the Barf Alert?
Of course Brown was a gang thug. There are plenty of photos of him in all his glory.
