You can sneer all you like, but the simple fact is that Americans who back the Union of States of America are being hypocritical when they claim they support the right of "self-determination" for Scotland.

And if you think about it, what is happening in this referendum is that Scotland IS being given the right of self-determination (they can decide whether they want to be in or out of the Union) so I find the assertions that Scots who dont want independence are somehow "traitors" (as some of the pro-independence crowd are saying) to be distasteful in the extreme.
