Tasers tend to be first line of weapon attack now. At 50000 volts, they ARE effective. The UK police dosent want to have to kill someone if they can help it.

I would point out that less than 24 hrs later, the same police force shot dead a man in London who was attacking his wife with a knife and refused to stop.

So don’t be too critical.
