Why don’t you try and answer your own question?

Lol...your inability to add any substance to your remarks beyond snarky criticism precedes you.

It’s like debating an empty chair.

I can see how Russians would think that way . . . contrary opinions make them uncomfortable. Tell me, what "vital national security interest" does Russia have in Cuba, Venezuela, et al.?

You see, comrade, when you start throwing-terms such as the above, you should be prepared to apply them equally.

My recollection is that Cuba was pretty much ignored by Russia for about twenty years or so, one of the many benefits of bilateral rapprochement between cold war adversaries.

Of course that changed somewhat in 2008 and more so this year when Russia decided to reopen an old listening post in Cuba, forgive a substantial debt owed by Cuba to USSR and drill for oil.

Likewise, relations between Venezuela & Russia didn't really start warming up until the fall of 2008 when the two countries held a series of level meetings over six months.

So what happened to make the Russians suddenly want to reengage America's adversaries in the Western hemisphere?

Any ideas Bueller?

You've "convinced" me. Nothing that Russia does, ever, is attributable to Russia. It's always the fault of someone, or something, else. Not the fact that the Russians suffer from the greatest case of geopolitical penis-envy on the face of the Planet.

Just listen to their apologists, here.

According to Putin? I'm thinking he wants all of the Soviet Empire back in Russian hands. He's no different than the moslems who think that once they conquer something it belongs to them forever.

Hope this brave Estonian official gets his freedom soon from Putin's thugs.

Estonia is a lovely country, with great people. I lived there for several years.

Unfortunately, you can't pick your own geography. And tiny Estonia, drew the short straw, with that enormous gangster-led garbage pit to east.

Chilling. This won’t go over well anywhere along the Baltic.

Do you think Russia has a vital national security interest in Mexico?

Let's invade Mexico and rape and pillage our way through and annex parts of it, dummy.

Actually, the United States needs to leave NATO to the European muppets and reengage the Russians on a strictly bilateral basis.

I'm sure you'd like that Russkie. Nothing you'd like better than the dissolution of NATO so your master can enslave more people and bring them down to your level.

Japan attempted to establish a naval base in Mexico in the 1890’s, but Admiral Mahan put a stop to that.
