No it isn’t. It will lead to Iran taking over Iraq, and Iran becoming more powerful in the region.

I would rather have to deal with Iran than with a totally out of control group like ISIS.

We should have left Hussein in there. The Israelis/Saudis will counter any Iranian threat.

Bush needed to get the Iraqi oil flowing so he needed to get the Sunni leader, Saddam, out and Bush was going to replace Saddam with Chalabi, who was Shia, but nobody in Iran wanted Chalabi so Bush had to find someone else, who happened to be Maliki, who was also a Shia.

So when they had the election, the Sunnis boycotted, and decided to have a civil war. Bush entered the civil war on the side of the Shia and called it the surge. Gen Petraeus would kill Sunnis and Gen Allen would pass out huge sums of money to Sunni Tribal leaders to get them to change sides. Many of the Sunnis fled to Syria and would later take part in the revolution against Assad the Shia.

Peace signs and daiseys prevailed in Iraq and Bush worked out a deal in which Sunnis would get jobs in the govt and get a cut of the money from the Kurdish oil and the Shia oil.

It worked for a while but Maliki started purging the Sunnis, and cut off some of the oil money. After the Kurds built the pipeline thru Turkey, the Sunnis knew they had to do something, so they decided to hook up with ISIS.

Then Obama decided to force out Maliki and get someone who was willing to make a deal with the Sunnis, but the new guy is also a Shia so we don't if that will work out.

In the meantime, Obama is going to have to kill some of these Sunnis, and Iran says they'll be glad to help.
