President Obama was nowhere to be found during the beginning of a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine commission in Wales on Thursday.
Obama was "noticeably absent" from the start of the meeting, according to a White House pool report, although U.S. Ambassador to NATO Douglas Lute was in attendance.
Obama was late to the Ukraine meeting because of other meetings on Afghanistan and a meeting with King Abdullah of Jordan, according to a White House official.
Back at the Ukraine meeting, leaders were addressed by NATO Secretary General Anders Rasmussen, who urged Russia to stop the "illegal" annexation of Crimea.

He has the same bored look I’d have if I were forced to sit through one of my son’s Organic Chemistry or Linear Algebra lectures. It’s way over my head and I’d be totally lost, bored, and resentful of being there. I’d skip it if I could. So does 0bama, but unfortunately for us, it’s supposed to be his job.
0bama is way over his head in any meeting of substance, and it shows.
He had to finish his round of golf and then smoke some crack with Reggie before sauntering into the assembly noticeably late and stoned. I’m am certain they held up the meeting to wait for his Eminence to arrive.
He isn’t a leader or a president more like a mole.
Snorting or smoking cocaine.
