There were no orders given to anyone to stand down in Benghazi huh? Not according to these guys who were there on the ground and ready to go within 5 minutes. One says he was ordered to stay right there and "stand down". Once to stay right there, and once to stand down.

I saw the interview, I read the transcript. The guy sounded like Glen Beck.
I know because is he is a General Officer it is natural to respect what he says. But he is no different that most CEOs and Senior Executives. In this case he appeared to be stirring the pot and promoting his book in a pretty awkward manner— which lead to confusion and over reaction to his statement.
So, my opinion, is that he was “promoting” his book.

I think the first assault was expected, as part of some plan which (obviously) went bad. Our side of the deal was to lie down.
By the time it was clear that plan A was screwed, it was too late.

I have no idea his motives or how accurate his knowledge, but I know the General didn’t write the book. It was written by Mitchell Zuckoff, a bestselling author and journalism professor at Boston University. Apparently the General agrees with Professor Zuckoff’s conclusions.

NO ONE watches television over the weekend (excepting football)...just check the ratings. It needs to be broadcast PRIME TIME to reach people other than Freepers...that’s just the way it is.
