A portion of an Amish meal minus the bread, butter and desert. Only 4% of Amish are obese compared to 31% of Americans.
Active lifestyle while enjoying the facts and protein. Don't consume vast amounts of sugar and processed food, and bread. Get outside and do work.

Yep, exercise and avoid the excess carbs. It is not really that complicated.

I eat a lot of vegetables and eliminated processed foods with additives that don't belong. I only eat whole foods. No milk fat, because the antibiotics in milk settle there. I use granulated cane suger as a sweetener. My exercise is Chaucer and a leash...he likes long, brisk walks.
I no longer have a weight problem.

Is that fried chicken, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, carrots and gravy?
My mom used to make mashed potatoes and gravy. Or oven brown potatoes at least once or twice a week. I haven’t had either in years.
Once every few months my wife will make Bob Evans microwave mashed potatoes. Don’t get me wrong, my wife is a great cook. She just makes different things than my mom did.
