It all depends on how many Republican senators are bought off (like Jumpin' Jim Jeffords) or how many seats are stolen in the courts (like Al Franken's chair)...

I’m now thinking that Roberts will lose in Kansas. I’ll vote for him but he should have retired.

Pick up a couple additional seats and Georgia and Louisiana can dither as long as they like.

Dems will just come up with extra dead people, felons, etc. Republican elite will continue to put forward the same faux conservatives that generate apathy. Unless Americans vote decisively, the downward slide of the country will continue.
