According to RCP, Republicans are now favored to pick up seven additional seats in the Senate. That would give them 52 seats -- and control of both... It all depends on how many Republican senators are bought off (like Jumpin' Jim Jeffords) or how many seats are stolen in the courts (like Al Franken's chair)...

Dems will just come up with extra dead people, felons, etc. Republican elite will continue to put forward the same faux conservatives that generate apathy. Unless Americans vote decisively, the downward slide of the country will continue.
